A 28-year-old man crossing a road in a marked crosswalk suffered life-threatening accidents early Tuesday when he was hit by a pickup close to the boundary of Rolando Park and Redwood Village, police mentioned.

The person was crossing from the southeast nook of 58th Avenue and College Avenue to the northeast nook when he was struck shortly after 6 a.m., police mentioned.

Police mentioned the 31-year-old driver in a Chevrolet Silverado HD2500 was making a left flip from 58th Avenue onto College when he hit the person. The motive force, who was in a marked work truck, known as police and remained on the scene after the collision, a police spokesperson mentioned.

The injured man was taken to the hospital to be handled for a subdural mind damage, a lung contusion, a damaged hip and leg and different accidents, police mentioned.
