Robust pool chemical scent prompts evacuation of San Jacinto properties

SAN JACINTO, Calif. (CNS) — A leak of pool chemical substances from a transport container emitted a powerful scent in a San Jacinto residential neighborhood Saturday, forcing the evacuation of some properties.

At 2:21 a.m., a powerful chemical odor was reported within the 800 block of Shaver Avenue, the Riverside County Hearth Division reported.

Firefighters positioned pool chemical substances leaking from a big transport container. A hazardous supplies group and cleanup crews had been despatched to the scene.

At about 8 a.m., an evacuation order was issued for properties east of Hewitt Avenue, south of Seventh Avenue, north of Shaver Avenue and west of Camino Los Banos.

A care and reception heart was established at San Jacinto Excessive Faculty at 500 Idyllwild Drive, Cal Hearth officers mentioned.

At round 10:20 a.m., an evacuation warning was issued for the world of south of Essential Avenue, west of San Jacinto Avenue, north of Esplanade and east of Ramona Expressway.
