RICHMOND — Contra Costa prosecutors have declined to cost a person arrested final week in reference to an August murder, authorities mentioned.
The suspect, described solely as a Bay Space resident, was arrested final Wednesday in San Pablo in reference to the taking pictures loss of life of 35-year-old Boonsouk Pilavanh, in accordance with authorities. A Contra Costa murder prosecutor reviewed the case and decided there was inadequate proof to file homicide or manslaughter prices.
Pilavanh was shot and killed round 5:20 p.m. on Aug 22, at a residence on the 2400 block of Macdonald Avenue in Richmond. Police mentioned on the time that there gave the impression to be two automobiles and as many as six suspects concerned.
The suspect was launched after the charging determination. Police say they’re persevering with to research the killing.
Police haven’t launched the suspected motive, nor mentioned what position the arrestee was alleged to have performed within the killing.
A web-based obituary for Pilavanh says he left behind a mom, three brothers, and three nieces and nephews. It describes him as “a fantastic chef and loved cooking for a lot of.”
